sweet cheeks

I have to share this layout with you. It features my adorable granddaughter and uses a sketch from the Michaels Sketched Out 2 class (which I am teaching on Thursday night at the Willow Grove Michaels). If you know my style, then you know bright colors are not something I often play with but the reds and greens make D pop out of the page.
I used a kraft background here and Recollections prints from a print pack. There were polka dots, stripes, and gingham checks among the prints in bright, primary colors. The cherry stamp is an oldie but a goodie from Stampin Up! that I fussy cut as an embellishment. The buttons tied with black floss and tiny punched hearts add the finishing touches. I love how it turned out.

Rock on is another version of the same sketch. Here I used SEI papers and butterflies. The colors aren't coming out on here the way they do on the page, it definitely reads better in person. Want to check out the class? Email me for information.
